Job Description: - Excellent benefits including salary packaging - Challenging and rewarding work environment About the Role: Applications are invited for an advanced psychiatry registrar with a specific interest in psychotherapy to join the Psychotherapy Department at St Vincent’s Health Melbourne for a one year specialised training placement. This is an accredited training position funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health under the Specialist Training Program. The Registrar’s clinical work takes place both in public settings within St Vincent’s Mental Health Service and in the private sector, primarily at a psychotherapy-oriented clinic adjacent to St Vincent’s Hospital on Gertrude Street, Fitzroy. The registrar will be expected to deliver psychodynamic psychotherapy in each of the settings. It is anticipated that there will be opportunities for individual, family and group psychotherapy. The registrar is encouraged to attend to formal educational opportunities on courses related to the development of specialist skills in the area of psychotherapy.
