Job description

The Proteasome Regulation and Drug Discovery Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Science is seeking a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Associate to join our research team. The successful candidate will lead and contribute to projects involving proteasome drug discovery, with a focus on generating high-quality, reproducible data and advancing ongoing research projects in the lab. Key Responsibilities: - Design, execute, and analyze experiments using advanced imaging platforms (e.g., confocal microscopy, electron microscopy, fluorescence imaging, atomic force microscopy). - Perform and optimize yeast cell culture for drug screen. - Develop and apply enzymatic activity based assays to study drug function. - Analyze and interpret imaging data using appropriate software and quantitative methods. - Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and report results weekly. - Prepare manuscripts, figures, and presentations for publication and conferences. - Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in experimental design and laboratory techniques. - Ensure compliance with institutional safety and regulatory guidelines.
