Pre-employment physical exam required. Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by the University's insurance carrier. Grade 4 (Hourly) Position Description: The General Maintenance Technician II serves as the first responder for maintenance within the assigned facilities and is responsible for conducting daily walk-throughs and inspections of buildings, including common areas and mechanical rooms. This position responds to service and work order requests in prioritized order and ensures the proper operation of all building functions, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. This position provides customer service to building occupants to ensure all maintenance requests have been addressed and communicates daily with designated contacts regarding the status of work requests, outages, and scheduled maintenance.
