Our FYidoctors St. Albert clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience to join us as an Optometric Assistant to fill an existing vacancy! In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment. This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday. What You’ll Do: - Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check in and check out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email - Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care - Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance - Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist - Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments - Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts - Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties - Assist with contact lens fitt...
