Job description

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the electrical systems for the Blue Valley plant and six gas turbine generator units. Regularly inspects power plant electrical equipment; diagnoses trouble and performs necessary overhaul and maintenance, keeping accurate records of inspections and repair; reports regularly to the supervisor on the operating conditions of electrical wiring, equipment and devices, and recommend major overhaul or replacement; installs or repairs conduit and wiring; repairs equipment and control circuits; installs and repairs indicating lights and other signaling equipment; participates in the overhaul or repair of automatic switchgear, synchronous motors, turbo generators, motor-driven pumps, and transformers; assembles and installs electrical equipment and components. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be Journeyman Electrician, with four (4) years prior experience as an industrial electrician, including diagnostic circuitry and AC-DC experience, preferably in a power plant or other heavy industrial electrical work assignment.
