Job description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at RK&K you will be responsible for leading and executing electrical engineering design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership in multidisciplinary project teams, and the ability to mentor junior staff. The position involves design, analysis, and oversight of electrical systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements. Essential Functions: - Lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities in coordination with process mechanical, HVAC, and other engineering disciplines - Prepare electrical design calculations, drawings, and specifications (one‑lines, power distribution, MCCs/switchgear, cable trays, lighting/wiring, grounding, lightning protection, UPS/load lists, cable sizing) - Perform voltage drop calculations and ensure overall system reliability - Review and approve submittals, specifications, and O&M manuals - Address contractor RFIs and change orders - Participate in client meetings on conceptual designs and project standards - Prepare technical memos, proposals, reports, and contract documents - Provide field services,...
