Job description

Our Plant Internship program is designed to provide a broad exposure to power plant operations, while providing Power Engineering Technology and Facilities Engineering majors the opportunity to apply theories and practices learned to a real world setting. Internship Summary: Interacts with and conducts various duties and responsibilities for one or more functional teams to develop new skills and learn new areas of the business. Interns gain practical experience, relevant to their field of study, prior to college graduation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location. - Monitoring and operating plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. - Making rounds to check conditions of plant equipment and recording operational data on log sheets. - Operating Ash Handling System safely and efficiently. - Testing and treating boiler, cooling and other plant water systems. - Lifting moderate to heavy material. - Operating all aspects of the demineralization system, including making required adjustmen...
