Job Summary The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients. Essential Functions: Demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with both internal customers (coworkers, fellow employees, hospital staff, etc.) and external customers (patients, family members, referring physicians/specialists, etc.), while striving to exceed customer expectations. Timely completion of all specific competencies and annual organizational mandatories. Provide quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of case load at all times. Document medical services in the patient’s medical record in a manner consistent with hospital, payor, and regulatory standards. Participate in value-based reimbursement programs and quality initiatives, as required by the Department. Assist, as requested, in the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
