Job description

To perform, direct and inspect trades work for physical plant, maintenance reserve and capital outlay construction projects. Ensure contracted and in-house maintenance and construction work is performed to plans and specifications, safety standards, VDOT policies and procedures, building codes and industry standards. How you will contribute: - Contract Administration and Oversight: Administer and oversee work performed by facilities contractors to ensure contractual requirements are met, e.g. work complies with plans and specifications, shop drawings, industry standards and applicable codes and regulations. - Documentation: Prepare necessary paperwork to document in-house and contractor work, to include photo documentation. Prepare project listings, scopes of work, and estimates for work to be performed. Submit required paperwork to process payments, invoices and bills. Maintain project files, records and drawings of facilities and equipment. - Emergency Operations: Perform unscheduled or emergency repairs to facilities structures and equipment. - Hands-on Facilities Work: Complete work orders and other assigned tasks related to construction, maintenance, repair and renovations of...
