Job description

The Manh Choh Project is a greenfield gold deposit in eastern Alaska being developed with ore being hauled to Kinross’ Fort Knox mine north of Fairbanks for processing. The mine site is located in the Tetlin Hills, approximately 250 miles southeast of Fort Knox and 10 miles southeast of Tok. Production is expected to begin in 2024. Job Summary: Responsible for safe and efficient drill sample collection and assisting with ore control staking and geologic mapping. Ability to complete drill pad inspections, utilize Brunton (or similar) compass, assist Survey with staking, assist Mine Geology in mapping and ore control, and directly interact with contractors with minimal supervision. Responsible for completing work in accordance with Manh Choh procedures. Communication, training, and interaction with contractors to assist with compliance is an essential part of the technicians’ responsibilities.
