Summary Provides general support tasks (non-clinical) for assigned care area. Works with other members of the patient care team to deliver care to specific populations. Expectation is for the Nurse Trainee to transition into a Certified Nurse Aid role once completion of training has occurred Experience: Education and experience with computers preferred. High School Graduate or equivalent: Licenses: None required: Essential Functions: - Participates in the delivery of patient care for population specific groups under the direction of an RN including but not limited to the following: - Delivery and retrieval of meal trays and general nutrition items - Stocking of supplies and nutrition items - Delivery of specimens to appropriate departments - Equipment cleaning - Patient room setup for new resident arrival - Deliver clean linen - Assist with personal laundry - Provide fresh water as diet order allows - Participates in patient safety/patient satisfaction. - Answers call bells promptly - Answering unit phone calls promptly - Maintains neat and tidy environment (empties laundry, delivers equipment, nutrition area support, clean and safe environment). - Assures proper storage of equipme...
