This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Construction Inspector for our office located in the Herndon, VA area, to provide inspection services on a rail Major Crossing from Alexandria, VA to Washington, D.C. Your Impact: Duties and Responsibilities: Recognizes construction problems and applies standard techniques and procedures to solve the problem - Inspect and review work in accordance with applicable codes and standards included in the project drawings and specifications including roadway, bridge, paving, drainage, electrical, ITS to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, standards and codes - Ability to interpret roadway and bridge plans, building plans, specifications, and contracts - Monitor, observe, and report on field quality control and quality assurance for materials testing activities and/or conduct routine field tests on construction materials such as slump test, air content test, and compaction tests - Keeps detailed records of contractor’s performance and progress. - Measure and record material placed for periodic contractor payments - Conduct “receiving inspections” when material is delivered to the Project to verify tha...
