POSITION SUMMARY: The Refractory Technician is a skilled and adaptable tradesperson that has experience the various processes of refractory and brick laying JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Strong aptitude to set forms, mix, and pour refractory according to supplied specifications - Ability to build and maintain refractory forms - Operate and maintain large refractory mixes of various makes and models - Must be able to adapt and problem solve in a fast paced work environment - Measure, cut, and install high temperature insulation - Weld refractory hangers per supplied drawings - Completes assigned tasks efficiently and with an attention to detail and quality. - Commitment to safety in the workplace. - Willingness to learn and elevate their skill level. - Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: - Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred in related field - 3+ years of experience in masonry, concrete finishing, or related field. - Previous work experience related to concrete finishing and masonry - Advanced knowledge of the basic concepts of refractory - Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, safety p...
