Department: Machine Shop Reports To: Department Manager: Physical Demand Level: Medium to Heavy SUMMARY: The Machine Operator I is responsible for performing the essential manufacturing steps of part trimming and drilling, meeting daily production needs in manufacturing quality parts. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. - Trim plated parts to print specifications utilizing manual and programmable Lathes. - Core drill parts using equipment including manual drill presses, lathes and programmable HAAS Drilling machines - Program HAAS machines for drilling operations. - Performs preventative maintenance including fluid changes, lubrication and cleaning of machines when needed/directed by the Lead / Supervisor - Accurately record production information on paper travellers and in the ERP system - Maintains a clean machine and organized work area. - Makes minor repairs and notifies maintenance for other maintenance needs. - Performs variety of tasks such as counting, cleaning, returning gauges and fixtures, transferring of p...
