Job Description: Position Name: Staff Accountant: Department: Accounting / Finance: Reports To: Accounting Manager or Controller Position Summary: The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting accounting and financial reporting processes for mortgage loan origination, interim servicing, and loan sale activities. Responsibilities include journal entries and reconciliations for loan-level accounting and gain-on-sale recognition as well as general support of the close process.
