Job description

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Instructor position in the new Diesel Powered Electrical Generation program in Williamson County. This is a partially grant-funded position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of Technical Diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education training with credentials in diesel technology, power generation or industrial electrical technology or a closely related field. Associate Degree preferred. A comparable combination of education and directly related work experience may be considered. - Minimum three (3) years of experience in the diesel-powered electrical generation field, diesel mechanics or residential/industrial electrical field within the last five (5) years. - Electrical Generating Systems Technician certification preferred or the ability to become certified within 12 months. - Must possess computer skills. - Strong hands-on technical background in field of instruction. - Must possess a high degree of knowledge in the following areas: diesel engine systems, electrical troubleshooting and AC power fundamentals.
