The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Head Swim Coach to join our team. The YMCA focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Head Swim Coach provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students participating in recreational swim team. If hired for this position, you will instruct beginning to advanced swimming lessons and enforce safety skills according to age group and swim level according to YMCA Competitive Swimming guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Submits athlete meet information using Team Manager Software or Team Unify. - Attends Puget Sound Swimming Association or United States Swimming meetings and abide by league regulations. - Coordinates recreational meets with local teams and YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap County branches. - Prepares swim team plans with a natural progression of appropriate skills for the abilities and ages of the participants. - Coaches swimming...
