Job description

Assists the pharmacy leadership in coordinating daily operational, organizational, training and educational activities of the Pharmacy Technician staff and other assigned staff to provide for a well trained, smoothly operating department. This position will coordinate the daily activities, and where applicable acts as immediate supervisor for all support personnel including Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Interns while working for the department as Technicians, Pharmacy Technician Interns/students, and any volunteer personnel. This position will assist in the development of and set standards to meet the educational requirements for the Technical support staff & assist in the implementation and maintenance of performance improvement projects. This position will act as a liaison between the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy management, and will have decision making authority , where applicable and permitted, in certain situations in the absence of the pharmacy management.
