Job description

This position’s responsibilities include: troubleshooting, providing diagnoses, and performing routine and corrective maintenance on shop equipment in order to support production lines and shop effort. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Maintain and repair production equipment, including but not limited to: welders and grinders - Repairs broken parts using hand tools and welding equipment properly in compliance with Company’s safety policies and procedures - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to diagnose problems - Complete work orders as assigned - Complete installation of new equipment and provide other areas of improvement in line with facility’s maintenance plans MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: - Maintains a clean work environment - All other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, high school or equivalent required - Physical abilities: Standing, hearing, and seeing for 10 hours, handling for 6 hours, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and fingering for 5 hours reaching below waist, twisting, and feeling for 2 hours, sitting, climbing, balancing, crawling, reaching over head, and talking for 1 hour.
