Overview Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058 Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00 to $21.50 Schedule: Flexible PRN/Per Diem schedule with a minimum of 8 to 12 hours per week. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll team up with a passionate crew of therapists, counselors, and mentors to support teens (ages 12–17) on their mental health and recovery journey. You’ll lead activities like art, music, games, and sports while helping young people build confidence, connection, and coping skills through hands-on experiences. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team focused on reducing teen behavioral health challenges and making a lasting impact in our community. Responsibilities: - Make an impact by mentoring teens and fostering a safe, engaging, and structured therapeutic environment. - Lead adolescents through daily routines, group activities, and the development of healthy coping strategies. - Receive paid training in substance use recovery counseling and safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to respond effectively to behavioral escalations. - Document progress notes daily and communicate key updates to the Program Director. - Collaborate w...
