The dental hygienist will help manage a mobile school based dental sealant program in the Crater Health District. Duties include working with the school nurses and administration, supporting, and screening school children, providing preventive services where requested: prophy’s, applying dental sealants and fluoride, educating children and parents, promoting the program, and working with local public and private dentists in the district to refer children with treatment needs. The VDH dental hygienist will practice according to remote supervision per the Regulations of the Board of Dentistry and work under the direction of a Virginia licensed dentist.
