JOB SUMMARY: The Equipment Repair Specialist is to act as a point of contact between the office and the maintenance and repair events related to both company-owned and non-company-owned intermodal/dedicated and over-the-road-equipment. Their responsibilities include deciding the best course of action for fixing containers, chassis, tractor, and trailers. They must make sure to comply with repair vendor selection standards, prioritize driver satisfaction and safety, and minimize equipment and driver downtime while keeping costs under control. Additionally, they should assist drivers with tire and equipment issues. They must communicate effectively and keep all involved parties informed throughout the Hub Group network using various applications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Promptly and cost-effectively request repairs for roadside breakdowns and idle equipment across the HUB network using both phone and computer applications. - Efficiently communicate with drivers, account managers, and operations support to gather the required information for arranging the right vendor(s) to carry out repairs. - Ensure prompt follow-up with vendors to obtain estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) and rol...
