Job description

As an Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) intern, you will work alongside engineers and scientists on hardware development, payload integration & operations, laboratory & test operations, modeling & simulation, space environments, scientific research and propulsion systems for programs like Human Landing Systems, Space Launch Systems and the International Space Station! Overview: Provide engineering intern level support for the NEXUS (Network Extension for User Continuity and Sustainability) project at MSFC in the Science and Technology (ST) Office. The NEXUS project is a NASA initiative aimed at developing commercial relay services to replace the aging Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS). This support will include supporting trade studies and concept development across several orbital classes. Engineering support tasks to be performed include: Assist with developing trade studies and concept development across anticipated orbital classes, including GEO, MEO, and LEO.
