Company: Allegheny Health Network Job Description: GENERAL OVERVIEW: The Cross Functional Associate is responsible for providing support to the operating rooms and/or sterile processing by performing a variety of tasks. This role contributes to the efficient flow of operations by assisting with instrument processing, room turnover, supply management, and other essential functions, all while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) by assisting with room turnover, waste disposal, daily and terminal cleaning procedures, and general organization, adhering to established protocols. (20%) Completes assigned tasks in SPD under direct supervision. (20%) Anticipates equipment needs based on scheduled cases and transports equipment to and from the OR as needed. (10%) Maintains adequate supply levels by restocking designated areas, ordering department supplies, and ensuring proper room setup for upcoming cases, while also responding to patient emergencies and assisting medical staff as needed.
