About This Opportunity This role supports the effective, safe and high‑quality operation of the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre laboratories, working closely with researchers and technical staff within the Flotation Chemistry Research Group. The Laboratory Technician contributes to a collaborative, inquisitive and purpose‑driven research environment, ensuring laboratory capability, compliance and operational excellence that underpin world‑class minerals research. Key responsibilities will include: This is a full-time fixed-term position for up to 12 months at HEW 4. - Assisting with the training of junior laboratory assistants in laboratory techniques and safe work practices - Developing, maintaining and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs), laboratory manuals and records - Performing equipment maintenance, stock control and chemical inventory management - Supporting the preparation, processing and distribution of mineral samples, materials and equipment for research programs and clients About You: - Completion of a Diploma in Laboratory Technology; or Completion of a Certificate IV with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experie...
