Full time/Days 7am-7pm Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation Labor and Delivery (L&D) is a unit that encompasses the care of laboring and delivering women, Cesarean delivery care and recovery, OB triage, and high-risk pregnancy care in 12 labor rooms, 3 operating rooms, 9 antepartum rooms, and 3 outpatient rooms. General Summary: Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: - Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital.
