Investigator (Regulation and Enforcement - IMLT) Permanent: Grade D - £45,091 – £53,460 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week: An exciting opportunity to be part of a national enforcement agency has arisen within Birmingham City Councils Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT). As part of the councils Trading Standards Department, the IMLT investigates unlicensed money lenders (Loan Sharks). Administered in Birmingham, the team operates on an agile and flexible basis across England and is funded by central Government. The team work closely with other Local Authorities, the Police, and other agencies. The IMLT have two enforcement teams and an intelligence department made up of specialist investigators. The post of Investigator will sit within one of the enforcement teams. The Investigator will have ownership of an individual case load and will be expected to work alongside other Investigators to conduct enforcement action.
