Environmental Technician - Wastewater Operator

Job Overview: APTIM currently has an opening for Environmental Technician for our Midland, TX location. This is primarily a field based position supporting our group's environmental assessment and remediation projects. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: - Operate the groundwater treatment system. - Perform scheduled shutdown periods. - Conduct all routine maintenance. - Procure treatment chemicals, materials and equipment as needed - General troubleshooting duties to identify and correct equipment malfunctions - Shut down all pumps and process equipment in the fail-safe mode if there is a power failure. - Conduct influent/effluent sampling. - Performs other tasks related to operation and maintenance of the groundwater treatment plant as assigned. - Collect environmental samples in the field - Collect field data including extraction rates, run time, chemical dosage rate, and the amount of waste generated - Calibrate and use technical instruments - Work may periodically involve installation, and operation and maintenance of remediation equipment (pumps, process equipment, piping install etc.) and supervising other field tasks such as plugging and abandoning monitoring wells - Wor...
