Job description

Job Title: Lab Technician Summary: Responsible for the proper analysis and reporting of production samples. Responsible for the approval of all incoming raw materials, and adherence to MPM Texas City's minimum specification standards. Performs routine housekeeping and sanitation duties as required. Responsibilities Include: This position reports to the Lead Lab Technician or Laboratory Supervisor directly, but is also junior to any ranking Lab Technician. Qualifications: The following are required for the role - Basic user of common software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook - Basic problem-solving skills - - able to recognize sample results are out of specification - - understands when it is necessary to seek guidance from supervisor or manager - Ability to work independently and require only occasional assistance for routine activities - Must be able to prioritize workload - Reports data in a timely manner - - uses LIMS system to report values - Responsible for approving incoming feed material as well as generate Certificates of Analysis for product - Can calibrate instruments necessary to provide accurate results - Can communicate effectively with fellow empl...
