Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Analyst to join our purchasing team. This is an entry-level, in-person position ideal for candidates looking to begin a career in procurement, supply chain, or operations. The Purchasing Analyst will support purchasing activities, analyze purchasing data and assist with vendor coordination to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and services. A Buyer works under general supervision; relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Reviews purchasing data - Prepares internal statements and one-time reports - Prepares vendor score cards and information related to that vendor - Analyzes and documents options for procurement of materials - Develop detailed purchasing reporting - Recommend changes to the acquisition processes as needed - Tracks on time shipments - Develop a process to standardize the creation of product codes as needed - Gathers information from our systems and IS/IT department - Analyzes current inventory buying programs - Works with transportation department a...
