Job description

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions. Responsibilities: - Create geotechnical data reports, geotechnical interpretation reports, geotechnical design reports for tunnel and shaft construction. - Create temporary support of excavation designs, reports, and drawings. - Produce tunnel lining design documentation, including lateral earth pressure calculations. - Perform ground settlement and construction impact analysis of subsurface structures (e.g., shafts, tunnels) and 3rd party infrastructure (e.g., buildings, utilities). - Create and oversee the implementation of settlement monitoring plans. - Plan and execute geotechnical investigations. - Assist in the collection and review of as-built drawings and existing geotechnical data for subsurface due diligence. - Provide geotechnical recommendations for construction means and methods. - Perform construction period observati...
