Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies. na EDUCATION: Minimum: Preferred: LICENSE: Minimum: - Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program. - BSN - Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license Preferred: Minimum: - Certification in MDS and PRI - BLS through RQI upon hire Minimum: SKILLS: Preferred: - Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement. - Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process. - MDS, and care planning experience. - Demonstrated leadership abilities. - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. - Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. - Computer literacy - Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning software
