Sr. Environmental Advisor - Remediation

Job description

Stantec is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in the Okemos, Michigan office. Your role is to serve as a liaison with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. You will have advanced working knowledge of downstream petroleum industry operational processes that will support our professional services team. Your Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with stakeholders and with internal and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors in preparation and coordination of project work on downstream petroleum industry projects. - Apply advanced knowledge of current principles and practices implemented on petroleum downstream petroleum industry sites. - Collaborate with environmental engineers, geologists, scientists, chemists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, other specialists and experts in law and business to address environmental problems. - Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical resource to other team members. - Apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve complex issues where precedent may be limited.
