Department: Pharmacy: Shift/schedule: Part Time (24 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the pharmacists and the Pharmacy Manager. The Pharmacy Technician's primary job function is to assist the Pharmacist in the preparation and distribution of medications, inventory, and stock replacement. Assures the appropriate billing for SOMC patient and staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - Enrolled in, completion of a board approved Pharmacy Technician training program or National Certification required - Successful completion of National Qualification test required - State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration required - Pharmacy Technician training program or national certification required.
