Description A Gondola/Lift Operations Manager oversees the safe, efficient, and friendly daily operation of ski lifts and gondolas, managing staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance . Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards (ANSI/OSHA), managing lift maintenance collaboration, and maintaining guest service excellence. - Leadership & Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise lift staff (operators, leads), fostering a positive, safety-focused culture. - Operational Safety: Ensure all daily pre-operational lift inspections, logs, and safety checks are conducted in compliance with ANSI/OSHA regulations. - Guest Experience: Maintain efficient lift loading/unloading, optimize line management (mazes), and ensure staff provides superior service. - Maintenance Liaison: Work closely with the maintenance department on preventative maintenance and resolve mechanical issues immediately. - Reporting & Administration: Manage labor budgets, oversee daily incident/accident reports, and maintain operational logs. - On-Hill Management: Supervise daily opening/closing procedures, including chair cleaning, snow removal, and ramp maintenance.
