Estimator III

Job description

SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Estimator III with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Estimator will provide leadership, coordination, and final preparation of full estimates on large and complex work projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize, plan, and schedule estimate preparation Facilitate necessary meetings (kick-off, status updates, plan flips, final reviews) Assign and adjust work to ensure complete and reliable estimates Incorporate all relevant information (contract documents, communication with design team and owner, tax laws, permits) Determine trade partner strategy and prepare invitations to bid/budget Obtain and review all relevant documents, including BIM Promote collaboration for comprehensive scope and budget alignment Ensure completion of changes from estimate reviews Complete quantity surveys of materials/resources: Use knowledge of project type and best practices to fill gaps in early design documents QUALIFICATIONS: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Estimating, Civil...
