Job description
The Vehicle & Equipment Mechanic repairs, overhauls, and maintains vehicles and equipment of all kinds pertaining to diesel transit buses, associated transportation vehicles, and equipment owned by USF Parking & Transportation Services. Parking and Transportation Services, a division the University of South Florida's Administrative Services department is responsible for the overall management of the Bull Runner Transit System and parking facilities and services. We are committed to providing guidance and assistance to the USF community and our guests with all their parking and transportation needs in a professional and courteous manner. Full time position $23.08 - $24.82 per hour ($48,000 - $51,625 annual) Repairs and replaces engines, transmissions, blowers, motors, generators, distributors, starters, pumps, and fuel injection systems on vehicles and equipment of all kinds used by USF Parking & Transportation Services. Rewires ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels. Realigns and rebuilds brake systems, aligns front ends, replaces shock absorbers, and repairs radiators.
