Windows System Administrator The Opportunity: As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator, you will support the reliability, security, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure within the Department of Veterans Affairs’ environment. You will administer, monitor, and maintain Windows-centric enterprise systems, supporting Linux dependencies, storage platforms, backup solutions, and reporting tools that enable mission-critical applications and data services. In this role, you will maintain a holistic understanding of applications, operating systems, hardware, and sof tware dependencies. You will provide guidance on overall system design, support network and infrastructure integration, manage patching and lifecycle updates across lower environments while supporting production stability as needed. You will troubleshoot complex issues to meet customer needs and serve as backup support to the lead System Administrator and Architect, ensuring continuity of operations and reducing reliance on a single technical resource, particularly as the program evolves toward hybrid and cloud-native architecture patterns.
