Part Time (48 Hours Biweekly) Night Shift: 7p-7a General Summary: Provides clinical support services to patient care staff by performing a variety of duties related to patient care. Takes patient vital signs, assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, feeding, toileting, etc.), inventories and replenishes supplies and equipment, and performs special assigned and or delegated duties such as performing EKGs, Point-of-Care testing, phlebotomy and splinting. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: - Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, changing bed linens, toileting and positioning. - Assists in the preparation and transportation of patients for tests, procedures, etc. - Monitors patient condition levels; reports changes to the Registered Nurse. - Documentation in ECare pain scale, input and output, removing foley catheters, vital signs and reports abnormal values to the RN. Collects specimens such as blood, urine or sputum using approved techniques and procedures. Obtains and documents temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, pulse and pulse oxygen.
