Description Summary : A part-time (20hrs/week) position in a non-profit organization to oversee, connect and develop outreach with community residents that foster neighborhood status Improvement in the neighborhood and community of Amsterdam, NY. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Programs for Capital Region. Essential Functions: - Bilingual in English and Spanish required. - Maintain a strong presence in the community consistently, engaging residents and leveraging opportunities. - Maintain accurate records of resident contact information and participation. - Organize and assist in facilitation of Block Club and committee meetings as specified by Regional Director & Ibero-American Development Corporation. - Develop materials for neighborhood to include community calendars, newsletters, and other promotional materials. - Effective door to door outreach in the community required on a weekly basis: completing flyer distribution, surveys, recruitment, and other forms of resident feedback & engagement. - Ability to identify needs and opportunities that could positively impact neighborhood residents. - Ability to track and evaluate progress to create reports as required. -...
