Located at Highland District Hospital's Chemistry Department (Hillsboro, OH) Full-Time Day Shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM) With Weekend and Holiday Rotation Position Summary: Perform and report laboratory tests within established guidelines, and under direction of the Chemistry Technical Director and site manager, oversee Chemistry training, special projects, QC reviews, Proficiency testing, resolution of instrument or specimen problems, and ensure adherence to technical procedures and regulations. Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Perform routine technical work as assigned by the Senior Manager or Technical Director. - Perform and record routine maintenance and quality control on all equipment or reagents used for testing. - Provide guidance for department members for any questions or problems that arise with Chemistry testing. Follow any problems through to completion and communicate with appropriate managers and next shift if appropriate. - Coordinate training for new department members, and when new instruments or procedures are introduced. - Oversee Chemistry proficiency testing through CAP or other agencies as well as competency assessment and provide additional training if the nee...
