Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team provides occupational therapy services to enable residents to achieve and maintain optimal health. Duties include assessing resident’s occupational performance utilizing an evidence-based approach, planning and implementing goal directed services, evaluating the effectiveness of the service, preparing and maintaining records, demonstrating safe and effective resource utilization and quality management and contributing to the development, review and promotion of occupational therapy services. Acts as a resource for the interdisciplinary health care team, analyses trends, reviews literature, and recommends changes to modify/change current clinical practices. Contributes to the development, review and promotion of occupational therapy services.
