Job description

A Waving Supervisor is responsible for managing the wave planning and execution process, which is crucial in ensuring that customer orders are released, picked, packed, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner. Friday - Sunday: 12 Hour Shift 5:00am - 5:00pm Role of a Waving Supervisor: Wave Planning: - Analyze order volumes and shipping deadlines - Coordinate with warehouse management systems (WMS) to create effective waves - Prioritize high-urgency or time-sensitive orders Execution Oversight: - Monitor real-time progress of picking waves - Adjust wave release timing to avoid bottlenecks in picking or packing areas - Ensure labor is properly allocated across waves Communication & Coordination: Work closely with: - Inventory control - Picking and packing supervisors - Out bound teams - Ensure smooth transitions from one operational step to another System Management: Use WMS or ERP systems to: - Trigger waves - Track wave status - Troubleshoot system or order issues Performance Monitoring: Report issues or delays and recommend improvements Track metrics like: - Wave completion times - Order accuracy - Throughput efficiency Key Skills Needed: - Strong understanding of warehouse p...
