The purpose of this position is to inspect structures, interior and exterior for violations of the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC). Assist with determination of substandard issues before utility services are allowed. Follow and implement process for unfit structures and demotion of structures. Supports division for any other inspection needs. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Requires an Associate’s Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college in engineering, architecture, inspection, drafting, construction technology or related field. Requires four years in commercial and residential building inspection or closely related experience. The equivalent combination and related work experience may be considered.
