Job description

Overview The General Foreman is responsible to the Contracts Manager and works closely with the Quantity Surveyor. They are responsible for the management of the onsite programme in respect of delivery, workmanship and safety. The General Foreman ensures that adequate and proper labour, plant, materials and subcontractor's resources are available to meet the requirements of the contract and in line with company policies. Responsibilities: - Establish and monitor key stage programmes - Set up the site and maintain site security (Maintain site hutting, hoardings and signboards to present a tidy and professional appearance) - Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trades activities - Apply for temporary service connections - Interpret drawings and specification and communicate directions to site personnel, Subcontractors and suppliers - Ensure that adequate method statements and risk assessments (RAs) are completed for high-risk activities - Request outstanding information from the profes...
