Job DetailsJob Location: Springfield, MA 01119Position Type: FacultyEducation Level: Doctoral DegreeSalary Range: $100,000.00 - $102,000.00 SalaryThe Department of Mechanical Engineering at Western New England University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice position, beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Aerospace Controls, Flight Mechanics, Flight Vehicle Design, or other related Aerospace fields. Industry experience is a definite plus. The successful candidate is expected to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in both Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, provide service to the department, and support undergraduate and graduate projects and our innovative first year engineering program. The teaching load is 12 credits each semester or 24 credits each year. We seek outstanding candidates with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service.
