Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Center City 833 Chestnut - Philadelphia, PA 19107Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.00 - $23.00 HourlyJob Shift: Day ShiftJob Summary: The Financial Counselor is responsible for maintaining communication with patients, facilities, insurance companies, and physicians on the patient liability prior to surgical procedures. Key Accountabilities: Must sign off, retrieve, work SRS, and email messages daily regarding deductible and self-pay patients. Self-pay patient processes need to be completed upon receipt. Deductible patients' processes need to be completed at least two weeks in advance of procedure. Essential Duties: Maintains contact with patients on out of pocket costs, self pay fees, deductibles, and co-insurance on surgeries. Maintains contact with insurance companies on patient costs for surgeries. Sustains open communication with physicians on status of patient surgeries. Corrects and updates patient demographic information. Corrects and updates patient insurance information. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
