Department: Psychiatry Job Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Chief Medical Officer Positions Supervised: None: Amount of Travel Required: Negligible: Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: Position Summary: The Staff Psychiatrist provides a full range of outpatient psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and families at Family Service & Guidance Center (FSGC), including psychiatric consultation, prescribing and monitoring medication, and Psychotherapy (with pre-approval and within the limits established by the Chief Medical Officer). Collaboration and consultation with community agencies, other medical providers (especially the client's primary care physician) and schools is also expected. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Provide a full range of outpatient psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and families at FSGC. - Psychiatric consultation. - Prescribe and monitor medication for the treatment of mental disorders as indicated according to prevalent medical standards of practice and guidelines from The American Academy of Child & Adolescents Psychiatry. - Psychotherapy (with pre-approval and within the limits established by the Medical Director). - Consultation with...
