Job description

Under direct supervision, according to defined procedures and established schedules, performs a variety of kitchen, cafeteria, sanitation, and tray line activities. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Or equivalent work experience. Licensures/Certifications: Not Applicable Experience: 3 months kitchen or cafeteria experience preferred Skills: - Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member. - Ability to read and write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions. - Knowledge of the HACCP program. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Serves food to cafeteria patrons in a friendly manner. - Adheres to GBMC and department policies for proper hygiene and dress code. - Maintains clean and sanitary environment in kitchen and café areas per departmental, GBMC, and regulatory agency policies, procedures, and standards. - Prepares light cooking of prepackaged foods by placing in oven or on stove. - Performs other tasks designated by Management team. - Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety to meet State and Joint Commission regulations to include the location of the Ansul fire system, correct storage of fire extinguishers and how...
