Job Summary: Serves the needs for patients, associates, physicians, and the public through the effective and efficient completion of building, central plant, and equipment maintenance, performing major equipment overhauls, installations, and training /instruction of maintenance personnel. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: 1. Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment, including but not limited to, appliances, machinery, kitchen and refrigeration equipment, and sterilizers. 2. Repairs and maintains heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment, including calibration and repair of associated controls. 3. Works as team leader on new installations and remodeling projects. 4. Performs general electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. 5. Provides instruction and training to Maintenance I, IA, and II personnel who are assigned to work for him/her. 6. Assists with operation and fine-tuning of the building energy management system. 7. Drives hospital vehicles on hospital campus, to satellite facilities, Indianapolis and surrounding areas to perform job duties, deliver, or pick up replacement or repair parts.
